A Writer's Notebook

I’m Back July 23, 2007

This is the first day I’ve sat down to write in almost 3 weeks. Is it any wonder I can’t string together a coherent sentence? Though I had a wonderful two weekends with family and friends, my writing has definitely suffered, as not even my usual daily prompt could stimulate creative juices today. *sigh* And my Guild lessons have fallen further behind. Grrr.

Even if I didn’t get any writing done, I finished two books on my “started reading” list – Taliesin and Death on the Nile. I find my list keeps getting interrupted by other books, though. Books my friends tell me, “You have to read this, NOW!” Okay, okay. So right now it’s The Traveler, by John Twelve Hawks.

I am greatly looking forward to the end of August, when I shall begin what will hopefully be the last two years of college for my Bachelor of Arts in English. I would like to be finished sooner, which is a possibility, but I could live with finishing in two years. I think. ;)

Just FYI, I’m taking a short break for the next few days. I was out of town last weekend and am having company this coming weekend, so I’m pretty busy. Regular posting will be back soon!

Books on My Shelf July 3, 2007

Filed under: My Book Nook — Lita @ 6:55 pm

I have 14 books that I have not read sitting on my shelf. I have 6 others that I have started but not finished.

Positively shameful. Especially considering I’ve had some of these for a couple years already. :-P

I already know what order they’ll be knocked off in, though. First is Taliesin (which I’ve been working on, to give myself some credit). Next is The Light of Eidon. Then King’s Ransom, followed by one of the 11 nonfiction ones. Haven’t decided on the title just yet.

Why do I have 4 books waiting for me at the library?
